We are launching Max's Big Beer on June 10th from 12-6pm, just in time to celebrate the beginning of the 2018 Max’s Big Ride on June 11th! On June 10th, 100% of draught sales of Max's Big Beer will be donated to Jesse's Journey, to support Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
The story of Max's Big Beer:
Max is a bright and funny seven year old boy who loves to joke around and who also has a rare genetic disorder called Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a terrible disease which doesn’t allow his muscles to develop.
Max and his parents, Andrew and Kerri, have raised over $140,000 over the past three years to help find a cure for Duchenne muscular dystrophy by running amazing local fundraisers that you have likely heard of — Max's Big Climb, Max's Big Ride and The Ice Cream Ride.
We’re honoured to team up with Max and his family to create a beer that will help raise money and awareness for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Although Max can’t drink the beer, he certainly influenced everything about it, from the flavour combinations to the style of beer and the name. It’s called Max’s Big Beer, a Milkshake IPA with Peach and Vanilla (two of Max’s favourite flavours!).
50 cents from every can sold will go to Jesse’s Journey, a Canadian charity dedicated solely to funding research related to Duchenne.
